The Position
Applicants must be capable of making quality repairs to suspension, lighting, electrical systems, air brake, and ABS systems, steel and aluminum welding and trailer body/structure and doors. Trailer Technicians must also possess the skills to perform accurate and complete preventative maintenance inspections and annual DOT inspections.
Job Duties and Responsibilities include
- Provide excellent customer service to communicate with customers and vendors and effectively resolve issues.
- Perform accurate and complete vehicle inspections (DOT, PM)
- Perform air brake diagnostics, repairs and inspections.
- Perform ABS diagnostics and repairs utilizing laptop diagnostic system
- Perform floor, roof, door and side panel repairs
- Perform minor and major accident repairs
- Perform electrical systems diagnostics and repairs
- Perform air brake diagnostics and repairs
- Perform wheel end repairs and adjustments
- Perform aluminum and steel welding
- Perform general repairs on trailer and trailer dollies
- Perform PM maintenance accurately and efficiently
- Ability to use electronic technical manuals and resources for diagnostics and repair
- When mobile maintenance work is not avaliable, perform assigned duties in the main shop
- Assist other technicians on work orders/jobs requiring assistance
- Provide accurate documentation on all completed repairs
- Keep an up-to-date inventory of items in the service truck
The ideal candidate needs to be self-motivated and be able to perform all tasks to the best of theirs ability
Pay Type and Salary
Wage Range
Wage: $12.00 to $23.00 dollars per hour
